Why this site exists
Changes to Colorado's firearm rules can be difficult to follow. The relevant information is often spread across legislation, statutes, agency guidance, court filings, and local processes. We created Colorado SSF to bring those sources together and explain what we learn in straightforward language.
What we publish
We publish articles about Colorado's specified semiautomatic firearm regulations, related legislation, agency guidance, and other rules affecting Colorado firearm owners. We also maintain practical tools for reviewing the state's firearm guidance and finding verified Firearms Safety Program instructors.
Whenever possible, our articles link to primary sources so readers can review the underlying material themselves. We may also update our coverage when official guidance changes or new information becomes available.
What we are not
Colorado SSF is not a law firm, government agency, advocacy organization, firearms dealer, or training provider. We are not affiliated with the State of Colorado or any of its agencies. Our work is general information, not legal advice, and should not replace guidance from a qualified attorney or the responsible government agency.
