How SSF training fits into the purchase process

The instructor does not issue your eligibility card. The ordinary process begins with applying for a Firearms Safety Course Eligibility Card through a participating sheriff. After approval, you complete the applicable FSP safety course with a verified instructor, who records the result in the state system.
